Hall County investigating second fatal weekend wreck on GA 365

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) is investigating a traffic accident that claimed the life of a woman from Cumming on Saturday evening, Feb. 1.

At approximately 9 p.m., AIU investigators responded to the crash at the intersection of GA 365 and White Sulphur Road. On arrival, AIU began investigating the broadside collision involving a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a 2006 Chrysler 300 car.

A passenger in the Chrysler, Patricia Ann Cooper, 65, of Cumming, suffered serious injuries in the crash. Hall County Fire Rescue transported her to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville where she later died from her injuries. No other injuries were reported in the wreck.

According to the preliminary investigation, the truck, driven by Brian “Keith” Crowe, 55, of
Carnesville, was eastbound on White Sulphur Road and stalled in the intersection at the inside northbound lane of GA 365. The Chrysler, driven by Ronald Dale Cooper, 64, of Cumming, was northbound on GA 365 when it collided with the passenger side doors of the disabled truck.

AIU is continuing to investigate the collision. No other details are available.

This is the second fatal wreck over the weekend in Hall County. Another wreck occurred on Saturday morning Feb.1 on GA 365 near White Hall Road that resulted in the deaths of two teens.
