A person was found dead after a residential fire in Hall County Thursday, Oct. 17.
Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the single story structure fire at the 4100 block of Sardis Road at 12:50 p.m. Fire crews worked to attack the bulk of the blaze as a search for the two occupants of the home was underway.
One person was found dead during a primary search of the residence. That person has not been identified by authorities. The remainder of the fire was extinguished and checked for remaining hot spots.
The home is a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and will be investigated by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office will assist in the investigation of the person’s death.
