HALL COUNTY – The staff at the Hall County Health Department will be working on Labor Day to administer COVID vaccines and they’re giving away more than shots to some.
On Monday, September 6, nurses will be at the health department administering shots from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. The first 100 people, 18 years and older, to get their COVID-19 vaccination will receive a $50 gas gift card.
It’s the latest incentive being offered to encourage people to get vaccinated. On Friday, September 3, Gov. Brian Kemp gave state employees paid time off to get their COVID shots.
You do not have to be a resident of Hall County to participate in Monday’s vaccination drive. The Hall County Health Department is located at 1290 Athens Street in Gainesville.
All other area healths departments will be closed on Labor Day.
As Georgians head into the long holiday weekend, public health officials remind you to avoid crowds, wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance to limit the spread of COVID-19.
