
A chicken house that caught fire in Hall County has been deemed a total loss, according to authorities.
Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the fire in the 4600 block of Whippoorwill Road around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3.
Fire crews arrived to find the 40-foot by 400-foot structure fully engulfed in flames and beginning to collapse.
With water hoses, firefighters sought to extinguish the fire from the exterior to control the blaze and prevent spread to nearby chicken houses, according to officials.
The chicken house was empty at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The property contains four chicken houses total, though the other three were undamaged during the incident. The destroyed structure is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
