Habersham’s Chamber Cup Golf Tournament returns Oct. 13th

The Habersham Chamber of Commerce will host the Chamber Cup Golf Tournament on Tuesday, October 13th at the Orchard Golf and Country Club near Clarkesville.

The tournament is the Chamber’s biggest event of the year. It raises money to help the chamber provide its business members and the community with “the resources they need to grow and develop,” says Chamber President Mary Beth Horton. “There will be plenty of on-course games, contests, giveaways, and much more,” she says.

Calling the event “a Member favorite,” Horton says this year’s tournament has been modified to make sure everyone stays safe. Volunteers will wear masks and there will be hand sanitizer stations, staggered tee times, and boxed lunches.

Registration will begin at 11 am on the day of the tournament, with actual tee time beginning promptly at 12 pm.

Teams of four are $600 and include lunch, green fee, cart, mulligans, strings, snacks, and beverages, as well as a complimentary team photo. Golfers will be able to participate in the on-course games and special drawings.

The Chamber will announce the tournament winners and give away door prizes during a socially-distanced 19th Hole Reception at the Orchard Clubhouse deck.
