Eight Habersham County students were recognized Monday, April 21, during a regular meeting of the Habersham County Board of Education for their contributions to a school bus safety poster contest.
The students, representing three age-based divisions, were honored for their creative renderings that highlighted the theme: “Safety First, Safety Always.” The artwork aimed to promote awareness around school bus safety among students and the community.
First-place winners from each division have been submitted to the Georgia Department of Revenue for consideration in a state-level competition. If successful, their artwork could advance to a national stage.
