Habersham County school parents pursuing advanced learning opportunities for their children may now refer them for consideration into the gifted program. The deadline for referrals is February 5.
Referral forms are available online at the Habersham Schools website www.habershamschools.com. From the home page, select Departments then scroll down and select Gifted Program.
Parents and guardians may pick up a gifted program referral form from the main office at any county elementary or middle school or request one directly from Gifted Program Coordinator Martha Cantrell. She may be reached at [email protected].
Completed referrals must be received by February 5. They may be turned into the main office at the child’s school or mailed to:

Referrals do not automatically guarantee placement in the gifted program. “A referral will initiate a review of student performance to determine if there is a need for evaluation for gifted services,” says Cantrell.
