Mark your calendars to come out to Raider Stadium at John Larry Black Field on Saturday, December 17, as a handful of Raiders will have the chance to play one last time on the home field.
The annual FCA East-West Classic is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, and features star running back for Habersham Central, Michael Babers, along with standout Raiders players Austin Frady, Aaron Galloway, Dylan Holcomb, Hampton Hotard, Trey Hurt, Jake Jones, Brandon Mitchell and Cole Wilbanks.
The Raiders seniors will play on the East team, joined by local players from Lumpkin County, White County, Rabun Gap and Stephens County.
Habersham Central will also be represented within the coaching staff for the FCA East-West game, including Raiders head coach Benji Harrison. Joining Harrison includes Austin Brown, Taylor Greer, Sam Ivester and Tip Johnson.
Lumpkin County head coach Shane Williamson and recently-resigned White County head coach Bill Ballard will also be on the coaching staff, among others. The East team features 29 players from the aforementioned schools.
The West team consists of players from Union County, Towns County, Gilmer, Fannin and Pickens.
