Habersham County public schools are back on schedule, but bus service remains limited due to road hazards remaining from Tropical Storm Irma.Buses will not run on the following roads Wednesday morning, Sept. 20:
- Barron Drive (from Stewart Lane to Rocky Branch Road)
- Kinney Mill Road
- Lakeside Drive
- Lon Lyons Road
- Piedmont Mountain Road
- State Highway 197 N (from Watts Mill Road to 3-way stop at Batesville General)
- Wheeler Circle (from Camille Street to Alto Street)
Habersham County School Transportation Coordinator Stephanie Walker says the Transportation Department will continue to monitor roads and issue updates until all Habersham County bus routes are clear.
During Monday night’s Board of Education meeting, county school superintendent Matthew Cooper said students unable to get to school safely will be excused through the end of this week.
