Habersham County Elections and Voter Registration Office moves to Cornelia

The Habersham County Elections and Voter Registration Office opens its new location in Cornelia on Monday.

The new 8,500-square-foot facility replaces the office that was housed in the county administration building in Clarkesville. That office permanently closed at the end of business on Friday, Feb. 16.

The new Cornelia location also will serve as the Habersham South Precinct. It opens at 8 a.m. on Feb. 19 for the start of early voting in the March presidential primary.

Early/Advance voting

Early voting weeks at the Cornelia location will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Feb. 19 to March 1. Advance voting week will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 4-8. Saturday voting there will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 24 and March 2.

Advance voting week at the Habersham North Precinct at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center in Clarkesville will be held from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 4-8. Saturday voting will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 2.
