The community is invited to learn more about Habersham County’s proposed jail bond referendum tonight, Thursday, Oct. 10, during a town hall meeting in Clarkesville.
The meeting is being hosted by the Habersham County Commission. It’s scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the county administration building in Clarkesville.
Last week, commissioners hosted a town hall on the jail bond vote in Cornelia (video below)
If voters approve the referendum on November 5, the county will raise property taxes to pay for the nearly $32 million jail.
