Griswold, Williams earn top academic honors at Tallulah Falls School

Students from all over the world attend Tallulah Falls School but it was two students from Habersham County who this year took top honors among the graduating seniors.

Virginia Griswold of Clarkesville and Nyah Williams of Cornelia were named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

Griswold is the daughter of Kimberly Griswold and the late Milton Griswold. She plans to attend Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts in the fall.

Williams is the daughter of Pam Williams of Cornelia and John Williams of Jonesboro. She plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The pair delivered remarks at the commencement ceremony held May 17 at the Student Activity Center on the middle school campus.

Adjutant General of the Georgia Department of Defense Major General Thomas Carden Jr. gave the keynote address. Former First Baptist Church of Cornelia pastor Dr. Eric Spivey delivered inspirational remarks. His daughter, Sydney, graduated this year from Tallulah Falls.
