Danny Grant blasted a pair of homers to lead Tallulah Falls past Rabun County 7-0 on Tuesday in the series opener.
Playing at home, #4-ranked TFS scored three in the first, two in the second, one in the fourth and a final tally in the sixth while 3-hitting Rabun.
Grant’s first round-tripper was a laser to center that got the Indians on the board. Ashton Roache followed with a homer two batters later, also on a drive to center. Andrew Skvarka added an RBI infield hit to make it 3-0. Grant again homered in the second, a 2-run shot to push it to 5-0. He later had a sac fly for the 6-0 lead. Chase Pollock singled in the final run for good measure.
Grant was 2-for-2 with the home runs, four RBI, and two runs. Roache, Pollock, Skvarka, BJ Carver, and Caden Walker all had a hit apiece. Pollock went the distance for a complete game shutout, giving up three hits and two walks, striking out seven.
The Indians are now 15-6 overall and 9-1 in region play.
