The Indians won in landslides on Thursday, taking 13-1 and 14-3 wins at home against BASA. #5-ranked TFS outscored their opponents 27-4 in the process. The Indians advance to 14-6 overall and are now 8-1 in region play. The 14 wins marks a program single-season record.
GAME 1
The Indians run-ruled BASA 13-1, and outhit them 15-1. Danny Grant’s RBI triple in the first set the stage early. Gregory Mendez and BJ Carver also had run-scoring singles in the 5-run first. TFS got three more in the second, then Cole Bonitatibus struck out the side in the third in just 12 pitches. Chris Waldron singled in Carver, and Chase Pollock later made it 11-0 on a base hit to left.
Grant ended a homerun shy of the cycle, racking up three hits with a double and triple with an RBI and three runs scored. Waldron had a 3-hit game with two runs, as did Pollock. Eight different players had RBIs and eight players had hits. Bonitatibus went the complete game (five innings), allowing one earned run while striking out 12.

GAME 2
TFS won the nightcap 14-3, again striking early. A 4-run first inning was highlighted by a David Dutary RBI single. BASA got back in the game by responding with three in the second. Dutary knocked home two more on a base hit to left in the home half. Grant had a bases-clearing triple in the third, and Gonzalez followed with an RBI double to push the lead to 10-3. Andrew Skvarka added an RBI it later in the inning, making a 7-run frame for the Indians.
Grant had three RBI and three runs, and Dutary had two hits and three RBI. Skvarka added two hits and two RBI. Walker picked up the win by going three innings and striking out seven while surrendering three runs on three hits and four walks. Skvarka went the final two innings, walking two and striking out three.
