A Clarkesville man has been indicted on rape and false imprisonment charges stemming from an alleged incident in June of last year.
Jerry Charles Looney, Jr. is also accused of hitting the female victim in the foot and leg with a baseball bat and golf club and trying to choke her. Habersham County deputies arrested him on June 27, 2019.
In addition to rape and false imprisonment, the Grand Jury indicted Looney on two counts of aggravated assault.
