Grady Simmemon, age 77, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
Mr. Simmemon was born on January 4, 1942 in Alto, Georgia to the late William Ray and Sarah Grace Darnell Simmemon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Simmemon. Mr. Simmemon was a member of BC Grant Baptist Church. He was a retired supervisor for Fieldale Farms Feed Mill with 30 years service. Grady loved his family and his cats. He was an avid deer hunter, and enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 and a half years, Linda Ferguson Simmemon, of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberli and Keith Dailey, of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Teresa Simmemon, of Alto; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Ralph Armour, of Cornelia; grandchildren, Paul Piszcz, Whitney and Justin Spillers, Chase and Jessica Simmemon; great-grandchild, Charlotte Simmemon; one niece and one nephew.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Daniel Parker and Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
