Goodwill Hosting Job Fairs Jan. 13

Large, Multi-Location Job Fair Scheduled to Help Unemployed

Goodwill of North Georgia is hosting its 4th Annual “New Year. New Job.” event on Wednesday, January 13. “During this one-day event we will connect companies that are actively hiring with area job seekers,” says Elaine Armstrong, director of public relations. “We created “New Year. New Job.” to help people who may have included finding a job or finding a new job to their list of resolutions and goals for the year.”

All Goodwill of North Georgia career centers (Athens, Atlanta, Cartersville, Cornelia, Decatur, Duluth, Oakwood, Rome, Smyrna, Stockbridge and Woodstock) will be participating in Wednesday’s event. Employers will be at each location recruiting workers from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Recruiters from the following businesses will be available to meet with you in Cornelia: Express Employment Professionals, Fieldale Farms, Axiom, Kelly Staffing Services, RaceTrac, North Georgia Zoo and OK Foods. For lists of participating employers in all other locations, visit Goodwill’s website at goodwillng.org.

Job fair attendees should arrive in professional interview attire and bring several copies of their résumés.

Known for its donation centers and stores, Goodwill uses the money from its donated goods program to fund its career centers and employment programs. This year, the organization’s goal is to help 20,000 North Georgians find jobs.
