Geraldine “Cuter” Stanley Free

Funeral services for Geraldine “Cuter” Stanley Free, age 75 of Lula will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville. Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Sanford Kimbrell will officiate with interment to follow the service in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born in Habersham County on May 31, 1941, Mrs. Free was the daughter of the late J. C. and Beulah Wade Stanley. Mrs. Free was a seamstress at Gainesville Mfg. and she was of the Holiness faith. She enjoyed gardening rose bushes and going to flea markets and yard sales. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Free is preceded in death by her husband Donald Free, granddaughter Robin Free, brothers George Meeks and Donald Stanley, brother in law Robert E. Holland, and sister in law Connie Stanley.

Survivors include son and daughter in law Jerry and Doris Free of Alto, sister Susie Holland of Alto, sister and brother in law Janell and Melvin Thompson of Lula, special neice and her husband Selena and Dana Roach and their son Logan, grandchildren Sandy Free of Alto, Amy Hunter of Lula, Chris Ivester of Lula, Michael Ivester of Alto, and Katie Free of Alto as well as seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 5, 2016, from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM at Hillside Memorial Chapel.
