The Hall County Animal Shelter has received a generous $40,000 investment from Petco Love, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to animal welfare. The funding will support the shelter’s ongoing efforts to save and improve the lives of pets throughout Hall County.
“Petco Love has significantly impacted the Hall County Animal Shelter throughout the last several years, and we are grateful for their continued partnership to help save pet lives and make a difference for pets in the Hall County community,” said Stephanie Maloch, Shelter Manager.
As a municipal shelter, the Hall County Animal Shelter is committed to providing compassionate care, shelter, and second chances for animals in need. From 2020 to 2025, the shelter has helped nearly 15,000 pets find loving homes through private adoptions and rescue collaborations, demonstrating its critical role in the community.
The recent grant is part of a larger $12 million investment Petco Love has made nationwide to support animal welfare organizations and advance their mission to end unnecessary euthanasia.
“Our investment in the Hall County Animal Shelter is part of more than $12 million in investments recently announced by Petco Love to power local organizations across the country,” said Susanne Kogut, President of Petco Love. “This is part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized. We also launched Petco Love Lost, a free national lost and found database that uses photo-matching technology to help reunite lost pets with their families.”
Founded in 1999, Petco Love has been a driving force for animal welfare nationwide, investing nearly $410 million in adoption programs and lifesaving initiatives. In partnership with Petco and over 4,000 organizations across North America, the nonprofit has helped nearly 7 million pets find their forever homes.
