DEMOREST, Ga. – Habersham Medical Center announces the addition of Nathaniel L. Hill, D.O. A general surgeon, Dr. Hill has more than 13 years of experience and has moved to Northeast Georgia from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Dr. Hill earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta and his Medical Degree from the School of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. He completed an Internship and his Residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospitals/Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
Board Certified in General Surgery, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. Dr. Hill’s previous experience includes serving as the Chief of General Surgery and Anesthesiology at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, Pennsylvania, and as the Attending Acute Care General Surgeon at Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of General Surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In 2007, he was awarded the Elmer Grimes Memorial Award for Clinical Research. Some of the procedures he will be performing at Habersham Medical Center include: endoscopy, appendectomy, hemorrhoid removal, thyroid removal, gallbladder removal, hernia repair, biopsies, breast surgery, stomach surgery, colonoscopy and colon surgery.
He and his wife, Aliyah, have a six-year-old son and are looking forward to making Habersham County their home.
