ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Transportation’s Metro Atlanta District (District 7) Office staff will host a job fair from 8 a.m., until 3 p.m., on Wednesday, August 3 at 5025 New Peachtree Road Chamblee, Georgia 30341.
The District Office plans to hire 30 entry-level maintenance professionals. Pay begins at $9 an hour.
All applicants must be 18 years old or older, have a high school diploma or a GED and have a valid Class C driver’s license.
“The Metro Atlanta District Office serves six major metro Atlanta counties. We maintain six major interstates and many state routes. Therefore, we are seeking eager and dedicated applicants to maintain the roadways,” said Wanda Essex, Metro Atlanta district human resource manager. “New hires can receive health insurance, on the job training and 12-paid holidays a year.”
Qualified applicants will interview with human resource personnel and will receive a contingent job offer. New hires must obtain a Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within the first six months of employment.
