Authorities are investigating a possible link between Tuesday’s bank robbery in Cornelia and one that happened last month in Gwinnett County.
Traditions Bank at 210 Cannon Bridge Road was robbed on December 22 around 12:30 p.m. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the suspect, clothed in camo and wearing a Spider-Man mask, entered the bank holding a device, “threatening he had a bomb.”
The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

That is very similar to a robbery Gwinnett County Police say happened at a bank in Peachtree Corners on November 16.
According to GCPD, a robber wearing a Spider-Man mask, holding what appeared to be a detonator, held up the Fidelity Bank at 4591 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard shortly after 1 p.m. He had something wrapped around his stomach and some bank employees believed it was possibly a bomb.
The suspect in the Gwinnett County robbery also fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Gwinnett County suspect is described as a black male, 5’6″ to 5’8″, with an average to heavy build. The suspect in the Cornelia robbery is described as having a medium complexion, 5’7″ to 6′, with a slender build.
