Local authorities have canceled their request for the GBI to investigate a death in Alto.
Habersham County Coroner Kasey McEntire tells Now Habersham they do not suspect foul play in the death of a man found in his mobile home off Mt. Zion Road.
Law enforcement officers responded to the residence shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, and cordoned off the scene.
Habersham County Public Information Officer Rob Moore said at the time that the sheriff’s office had asked the GBI to assist them with the investigation. That request was canceled before state investigators arrived.
