For the second time in less than a week, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Hall County man for allegedly sexually exploiting children.
On August 7, agents arrested a 29-year-old Alexander Webster, according to a GBI press release.
The Bureau says agents with its Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip alleged Webster possessed and was distributing child sex abuse material online.
After executing a search warrant at Webster’s Hall County home, agents arrested and charged him, according to GBI Public Affairs Director Nelly Miles.
Edwards faces five counts of sexual exploitation of children in Hall County and six additional counts in Jackson County related to the production of child sex abuse material. Authorities have not released details of the Jackson County charges, including whether any local victims were involved.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations/U.S. Department of Homeland Security assisted with the investigation.
Webster is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond.
On Friday, August 9, authorities took another Hall County man, Blake Edwards, into custody. He faces 108 counts tied to the possession and distribution of child sex abuse material.
