Charges are pending against a Gainesville driver whose passenger was killed in a traffic accident in Hall County.

Krystle Marie Wampler, 32, died after the Dodge Neon she was riding in struck a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck Wednesday morning at the intersection of Dawsonville Highway and Sardis Road. The accident happened around 9:42 a.m. on October 14.

According to Cpl. Joshua Hedden of Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville, 36-year-old Charles Scheer Wampler, also of Gainesville, was driving west on Dawsonville Highway when he failed to stop at a red light. His car struck the front passenger side of the pickup as it turned left onto Sardis Road from the eastbound turn lane of Dawsonville Highway.

Charles Wampler was seriously injured in the wreck. The driver of the truck, 16-year-old Garry James Stone of Cumming, complained of an injury, says Hedden.
