Police are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 78-year-old Gainesville man. They’re asking members of the public who may have seen the Thursday morning wreck to contact them.
The crash occurred just after 9:30 a.m. on June 13 at Limestone Parkway and Huntington Drive.
According to reports from the Gainesville Police Department, Barry Kreisler of Gainesville was reportedly driving a Honda Civic southbound on the parkway when he attempted to turn left onto Huntington Drive.
Kreisler is alleged to have turned into the path of a northbound Ford Econoline van driven by Elix Hernandez, 32, of Lawrenceville.
Ambulances transported the drivers to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where Kreisler died of his injuries.
