The Gainesville Police Department is asking the public for information. Alan Barrera, 17, of Gainesville, Georgia, is wanted on an outstanding felony murder and aggravated assault warrants.
Barrera is accused of killing another 17-year-old, Aristeo Ramirez on January 11, 2025 on Hillcrest Avenue. Police were called to the area around 8 p.m. where they found a crashed car and Ramirez’s body. Police believe Ramirez lost control of the car after being shot.
Barrera is considered to be dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
