The Gainesville Police Department has released the identity of a man they believe was murdered last weekend.
The victim has been identified as John Tracy Hill, 64, of Gainesville.
Hill was found deceased at a residence at Walton Summit Apartments off EE Butler Parkway on Saturday, Nov. 16, according to police. The case is being investigated as a homicide, according to authorities.
