Gainesville man faces drug trafficking charges for 200-plus grams of cocaine

A Gainesville man is facing drug and trafficking charges after an investigation led authorities to search his Hall County residence, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say Arturo Jaimes-Pimentel, 46, first allegedly sold 196 grams of cocaine to an undercover investigator at his home, which was later searched by authorities.

An additional 27 grams of cocaine was allegedly located at the property, totaling 223 grams (a street value of $22,300) confiscated during the investigation.

Jaimes-Pimentel was arrested and charged with cocaine trafficking, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators transported Jaimes-Pimentel to the Hall County Jail, where he remained without bond on Monday, Feb. 10.
