A Gainesville man remains in the Hall County Jail following his arrest Thursday, October 3, on more than a dozen criminal counts involving possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the Hall County Sheriff’s Office says.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) tipped off Hall County investigators to “multiple instances” of suspicious activity on email addresses linked to 20-year-old Martin Pedro, says sheriff’s office spokesperson B.J. Williams.

“The subsequent investigation led to the discovery of 18 videos depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct,” she says.

Williams says the investigation into Pedro’s online activity continues, and additional charges are possible.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is assisting in the investigation. Pedro is currently being held with no bond.
