Gabriel Solomon Summers, age 14 of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018.
Born in Habersham County on September 15, 2003, he was the son of Solomon Summers, II and Sarah-Marie Slagle Summers of Clarkesville. Gabriel was a seventh grader at North Habersham Middle School and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed taking things apart, collecting interesting things, cooking, corvettes, music, and time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Laurie Covalsen Slagle.
In addition to his parents, surviving are sister, Kayla Summers of Clarkesville; maternal grandparents, Rev. Thomas & Barbara Spicer Slagle of Homosassa, FL; paternal grandparents, Jim & Linda McEachern Robinson of Baldwin and Jimmy Summers of Conyers; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
A celebration of Gabriel’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Mike Franklin, Rev. Thomas Slagle, and Mr. Jon Slagle officiating. All friends and family are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 pm. A reception will immediately follow the service at First Baptist Church of Cornelia, 325 Oak St., Cornelia, GA 30531.
