Drivers, be aware that the Georgia Department of Transportation will close the southbound off-ramp from GA 365 to US 441 Business on Thursday, March 21. This will affect traffic trying to get to the Lowes and Walmart shopping centers in Cornelia.
The closure will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday and continue until 6 a.m. Friday morning, March 22. The closure will impact the Thursday evening rush hour, the Cornelia Police Department said.
Those wishing to go to Lowes or Walmart will need to exit GA 365 south at the Demorest-Mt. Airy Highway exit, take that to Historic Highway 441 in Demorest, and turn left to go to Cornelia.

An alternate route is to go past the Cornelia exit for Lowes and Walmart and take the left exit for Highway 441 to Athens and Commerce. Turn around and get back onto GA 365 and take the northbound exit for Cornelia.
According to Cornelia Police Chief Jonathan Roberts, the closure is due to the ongoing road maintenance/paving project on GA 365.
