Funeral services are scheduled Saturday for a Mt. Airy man killed in a single-car wreck near Clarkesville. 72-year old Billy Joe Clark died when his car ran off the road and struck a tree on State Route 17 at Amy’s Road on Tuesday.
Clark’s funeral service will be held Saturday, February 14, at 11am at Whitfield Funeral Home’s South Chapel in Baldwin. Burial will follow at Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Alto.
The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home in Baldwin from 6-8pm tomorrow, Thursday, February 12, and again on Saturday from 9:30am until 11am.
Clark was a native Habersham Countian. He was retired from Lee Arrendale State Prison where he worked as a correctional officer for 25 years. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Brian Joe and Brandi Clark of Clarkesville and Brent Jason and Nicole Clark of Mt. Airy.
