Habersham Central and White County square off in a rivalry matchup, with both squads looking to keep a zero in the loss column. #5 Rabun County, fresh off an easy win over #9 Mt. Pisgah, will face a bigger challenge at Stephens County, who shut out its first opponent. No matter where you go Friday night in Week 2, there’s a lot at stake early on.

Already well-documented, this rivalry matchup will provide a lot of clarity for both teams. Is White County (with new head coach Tim Cokely) truly a playoff contender? How they play in this game (regardless of a win or loss) would tell a lot. Is Habersham Central’s defense improved from the opening game? And is the offense really this explosive? A lot of questions will be answered in what is sure to be a packed game with neighboring counties squaring off. It’s a non-region game, but this atmosphere will show whether both teams are ready for playoff football later this year. Should be a great one!
