Friday Night Preview: Short week for local teams as they battle under the lights

Irma made for a short practice week for nearly every program in the state of Georgia, but football will be played on Friday night.

Habersham Central and Stephens County were set to play Friday, but at the time of reporting, it is the only game in Northeast Georgia that has been bumped to Saturday, with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m.

Rabun County, ranked third in the state, has a well-earned bye week, while #5 Commerce does as well. Both are 3-0.

Also undefeated still is #8 Union County (3-0) and #5 Dawson County (2-0). White County (3-1) suffered its first loss last Friday to Rabun. Lumpkin remains in search of its first win of 2017.
