With five local teams still unbeaten entering Week 3, there’s a pair of them that will go at it on the gridiron, with only one team leaving still without a loss.
White County takes it 3-0 record up against visiting Rabun County (2-0), in what will be the BLITZ Game of the Week. Habersham takes to the road at Franklin County in what will be a chance to see the Raiders vent some frustration after last week’s heartbreaking loss to the Warriors. Dawson and Banks have a bye week, but state-ranked Commerce hosts Lakeview, Towns travels to #2 Prince Avenue, and Union’s undefeated mark is put to the test against Andrews (NC). Stephens faces a huge test as well at Flowery Branch.

Someone will finish off the night with their perfect record intact. The other team will put their first digit in the loss column. White County is looking for senior captain Kaleb Crane to continue to dominate on both sides of the ball, but will need plenty of help defensively. The Wildcats, #3-ranked in the state, have one of the most explosive offenses in all the land. Bailey Fisher has many weapons around him in Cole Keener, Braxton Hicks, Austin Jones Bryson Beck to name a few. They’ll get their points, so it’s up to White County to keep pace and make key stops when given the opportunity.
