Tonight is no ordinary Friday…football season is finally upon us, and although tonight marks scrimmage week for many teams, it also provides each program with a litmus test to see just how good it really is.

Banks County officially turns the page to a new era of Leopards football, and tonight’s scrimmage with a rising team (Habersham Central) provides some great excitement. According to Banks County head coach Josh Shoemaker, starters will play in the first and third quarters, at least for the Leopards, with backups and freshman playing in the second and fourth.
As per the norm for scrimmages, there will be no kick or punt returns in the contest. Expect to see Habersham Central seniors RB Michael Babers, QB Cole Wilbanks and WR/LB Jake Jones make some noise for the Raiders. Senior QB Griffin Goodwin and SR RB Detetrius Walker will also display their talents tonight.
