FRESH & LOCAL at the Clarkesville Farmers Market, September 17

As you’re out and about Saturday morning, come by and check out a new vendor at CFM: Granola Bar and Grill.

Owners Jimmy and Patty Depew specialize in artisan granola bar bites called Rock-N-Ola Granola Bar Bites.

Conveniently located near downtown Clarkesville, the Clarkesville Farmers Market is a 100% chemical free outdoor market (which includes up to six Certified Naturally Grown farms) that’s open Saturdays, 9 a.m. until noon. It’s located next to The Old Clarkesville Mill (683 Grant Street).

This week’s vendors:

Angel Mountain Sweets: Sherrie and Don will be bringing all your favorites to the market on Saturday. You can pick something amazing for breakfast, to snack on during the games, or to enjoy at Sunday dinner. They’ll have everything from healthy Sunshine over Clarkesville muffins to delicious sinfully sweet Caramel Delight cookies―made with love and organic ingredients.

Aprons–Ties That Bind: Sadie Kelly is a local maker of aprons, aprons, and more aprons. She makes them for babies, children, teens, women, and even men. Some aprons are fun, others are cute, others are creative, but all are great for utilitarian use―the original purpose for aprons. In the kitchen, in the shop, in the garden, in the artist’s studio, or at a party. No two are ever exactly the same. And while you’re at the market, be sure to pick up a flyer that explains the bond created by aprons.

Becca’s Baking: Sweet Becca will be selling delicious home baked chocolate chip cookies, rosemary bread, individual trail mix granola bars, caramel corn, and Larissa’s handmade fruit tea. Becca’s also bringing Christi’s cool hand-painted swirled greeting cards.

Granola Bar and Grill: Jimmy and Patty use all natural ingredients in their Rock-N-Ola artisan granola bar bites like toasted old fashioned oats with deluxe nuts; dried fruits like cranberries, golden raisins, cherries, blueberries, mango, pineapple & coconut; sunflower seeds; and local raw B&B honey in each batch. Their granola bites are hand packaged and sold in 16 oz. size bags.

Jarhead Farm (CNG): Cliff says he’s going to be there with whatever’s ready in the garden (which includes okra, peppers, and eggplant)! Of course he’ll have a great selection of whole fruit jams. Once you try them, you’ll be hooked.

Pure & Simple: Lisa is bringing her new hits of the season: hair lotion/beard oil & essential oil roll-ons in three popular scents―citrus, lavender, and peppermint. She’ll also have a variety of naturally handmade soaps, lip balm, sugar/salt scrub, deodorant, sunscreen, bug repellent, household cleaner, pain cream, body butter, hair oil, hand sanitizer, facial cream, liquid soap, foaming soap, dog & people shampoo bars, laundry soap, bath salts, shave soap, and herbal teas.
