The tomato connoisseurs out there are in for a treat with a variety to choose from this week at CFM. New summer melons are expected to be ready for market day, too, plus local favorites like non-GMO corn, beans, and peppers. The market will feature farm fresh eggs, local raw honey, whole fruit jams, home baked goods, and naturally made health and beauty items. Last, but not least, K and H Farms will set up for their once-a-month appearance offering pastured chicken and pork.
Conveniently located near downtown Clarkesville, the Clarkesville Farmers Market is a 100% chemical free outdoor market (which includes four Certified Naturally Grown farms) that’s open Saturdays, 9 a.m. until noon. It’s located next to The Old Clarkesville Mill (683 Grant Street).

Angel Mountain Sweets: Last week Angel Mountain Sweets introduced their Sunrise over Clarkesville Muffins and what a hit! Along with Sunrise muffins, they’ll will have market favorites like chocolate chip and more. These make a quick, delicious breakfast from freezer to table.
Berryvine Farm: Christy will be bringing carrots, beets, squash, cucumbers, corn, tomatoes, and possibly cantaloupe.
Christi’s Creations: It’s back! The girls’ Clarkesville-famous caramel corn will be offered this week at the market. They’ll also serve up lemon blueberry muffins, cinnamon scones, zucchini bread, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, trail mix granola bars, and fresh baked rosemary bread. And finally, pick up some wonderful handmade herbal and fruit teas to take home and enjoy later.
Deepwater Farm: Douglas and Joanne will have kale, collards, and chard as well as green beans, cabbage, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
Healing Earth Farm (CNG): Morris will have all types of tomatoes—including cherry tomatoes, peas, squash, raw honey, blueberries, and non-GMO, free-range eggs.
Jarhead Farm (CNG): Cliff is bringing cucumbers, Rutgers and Borghese (great for sun-dried dishes) tomatoes, basil, parsley, dill, Asian eggplant, Thai green beans, Hokkaido winter squash, sweet peppers, Ghost and Fatalii hot peppers. Speaking of hot, don’t miss this week’s new concord grape jam (HOT) variety named “The Grapes of Wrath”!
K and H Farms: K and H Farms, from Toccoa, will have pastured chicken, pastured eggs, and pastured pork for sale. This is the only Saturday Cavonna will be in Clarkesville until August 27, so be sure and stock up. Contact them this week via facebook if you need to set up an order prior to market. Don’t forget your coolers!
Melon Head Farm (CNG): Emma will have fresh basil, heirloom tomatoes of all shapes and sizes, cucumbers, squash, kale, artichokes, a lovely mix of peppers, flowers, and hopefully the first of the cantaloupe and watermelon!
Pure & Simple: Be sure and check out Lisa’s newest item, liquid shampoo, from her ever-expanding line of naturally-made products. She’s also bringing a variety of naturally handmade soaps, lip balm, sugar/salt scrub, deodorant, sunscreen, bug repellent, household cleaner, pain cream, body butter, hair oil, hand sanitizer, facial cream, liquid soap, foaming soap, dog & people shampoo bars, laundry soap, bath salts, shave soap, and herbal teas.
Silver Lining Herbal & Gardens: Kristin and family is bringing tomatoes, cucumbers, ground cherries, patty pan squash, zucchini, flowers, and farm-fresh eggs. She’s also bringing her wonderful natural herbal products (lip balm, salve, sugar scrub, Skeeter Beater, and more).
Taylor Creek Farm: Michelle will be at the market with tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, hot peppers, sweet peppers, carrots, and pasture-raised eggs.
