FRESH & LOCAL at the Clarkesville Farmers Market, July 2

The lighter side of July Fourth weekend comes down to fun and fireworks, grilling out, and plenty of good eats.

Kick off your long weekend at the market where you’ll find plenty of the season’s best locally grown produce, home baked goodies, farm fresh eggs, honey, jams, and naturally made health and cleaning products.

Conveniently located near downtown Clarkesville, this 100% chemical free market (which includes four Certified Naturally Grown farms) is open Saturdays, 9 a.m. until noon, next to The Old Clarkesville Mill (683 Grant Street).

This week’s vendors:

Angel Mountain Sweets: Sherrie says, “It’s time to get your red, white, and blue on!” Angel Mountain Sweets will have everything you need for this weekend’s get togethers: cupcakes, cheese straws, cakes, cookies, and more.

Berryvine Farm: Christy will have blackberries, broccoli, cucumbers, beets, carrots, chard, beans, and onions.

Christi’s Creations: What’s for breakfast? Stop in for some lemon blueberry muffins, cinnamon scones, zucchini bread, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, trail mix granola bars, and fresh baked rosemary bread; handmade herbal and fruit teas; and two smiling youthful faces (free on the faces part).
