FRESH & LOCAL at the Clarkesville Farmers Market, July 16

Local growers will set up on Saturday morning with fresh blueberries, a bevy of homegrown veggies such as tomatoes, cukes, carrots, eggplant, and a variety of beans. Add to that some wonderful local makers and bakers and you’ve got yourself a market. It’s good to be in Habersham. It’s even better to be at the market.

Conveniently located near downtown Clarkesville, the Clarkesville Farmers Market is a 100% chemical free outdoor market (which includes four Certified Naturally Grown farms) that’s open Saturdays, 9 a.m. until noon. It’s located next to The Old Clarkesville Mill (683 Grant Street).

This week’s vendors:

A Frayed Knot: New boutique baby bibs (designer fabrics backed with minky or cotton chenille), reusable waxed canvas lunch bags, chunky zipper pouches, leather key fobs, and cotton webbing wristlet fobs.

Angel Mountain Sweets: Sherrie and Don have something for everyone: cakes, pies, cupcakes, cookies, cheese straws, biscuits and more. This week’s Special is Key Lime cake. Come by for a taste of the “Keys!”
