FRESH & LOCAL at the Clarkesville Farmers Market, August 6

Get fresh with the local farmers at the market this Saturday. They won’t mind. Really, they won’t! In addition to the summertime staples like fresh eggs and honey, tomatoes, cucumbers, okra, and peppers, you’ll also have a variety of naturally made health and beauty items from which to choose.

Conveniently located near downtown Clarkesville, the Clarkesville Farmers Market is a 100% chemical free outdoor market (which includes six Certified Naturally Grown farms) that’s open Saturdays, 9 a.m. until noon. It’s located next to The Old Clarkesville Mill (683 Grant Street).

This week’s vendors:

A Frayed Knot: Linda is back this week with a new selection of handmade and hand sewn items. She’s bringing boutique baby bibs (designer fabrics backed with minky or cotton chenille) for the messy baby in your life, reusable and water-resistant waxed canvas lunch bags, chunky zipper fabric pouches, leather key fobs, and cotton webbing wristlet fobs.

Angel Mountain Sweets: School is back in full swing, but Sherrie says she’s still in the lazy-days-of-summer mode. Angel Mountain Sweets can really help with those busy school mornings! Come by Saturday and get a box of our kid-friendly and mom-approved Breakfast Muffins. Their grab ‘n go breakfast treats will satisfy both the pickiest eaters and health-conscious moms.

Christi’s Creations: Stop by Saturday and see Becca, who’s holding down the booth while Christi takes the week off to celebrate a big birthday. Becca’s going to bring her Clarkesville-famous caramel corn, oatmeal chocolate chip bars, trail mix granola bars, and the ever-popular fresh baked rosemary bread. And finally, pick up some wonderful handmade herbal and fruit teas to take home and enjoy later. Please come early for the best selection!
