Paddington, one of the world’s friendliest bears, will hit the big screen at dusk on May 1st in Pitts Park in Clarkesville. The family-friendly film is part of the Free Friday Night Flicks series sponsored by Clarkesville Main Street and the Cornelia Hospitality and Tourism Board.
The movie is just one of many events that will be happening at Pitts Park this Friday. It’s also the location of the annual March of Dimes March for Babies. Come early and enjoy pre-show activities. A bounce house, fun and games with Tater the Clown, a children’s activity area and concessions will be available.
“We are delighted to offer the movie in conjunction with the March for Babies walk again this year,” says Clarkesville Mainstreet Manager Mary Beth Horton. “Having two great things to offer for families at the same place on the same night is what makes this community so unique. Plus, we are so lucky to have the opportunity to show this major movie for free – we really think the event will be huge for the community!”
Registration for the March of Dimes Walk begins at 6 p.m. The walk starts at 7. A special dinner will be provided for everyone participating in the walk.
