Funeral services for Frank Lamar Taylor age 55 of Clarksville will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Donald Grizzle and Rev. Bill Trotter will officiate and interment will follow the service in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Emory University Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Hiawassee, Georgia on February 4, 1960 Mr. Taylor was the son of the late James V. and Maggie Berring Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and he was a truck driver for Fieldale Farms, Inc. In addition to his parents Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his wife Denise Hicks Taylor, sisters in law Betty Helton Taylor and Becky Taylor, father in law Wayne Hicks and nephew Mitchell Owenby.
Survivors include twin daughters Takisha Taylor and Alisha Taylor of Clarkesville; brothers Jimmy Taylor of Blairesville, Larry Taylor (Bobbie) of Hapeville, Danny Taylor (Betty Wood) of Seabrook, Texas, David Taylor of Newnan, Ronnie Taylor (Pam) of Fayetteville, Ricky Taylor (Patricia) of Tomball, Texas; sister Barbara Owenby of Cleveland; sister in law and brother in law Diane Hicks and Ron Ledford of Alto; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 4 PM until 9 PM.
