Frank Lee McCallister, age 88, of the Batesville Community, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on January 20, 2023.
Born in Cleveland, Georgia, on July 13, 1934, Frank was the son of the late Ernest and Myrtle McDuffie McCallister. After high school, Frank worked various jobs at Schnadig, Webco, and the Saddle Tree Shop. He later worked at and retired from Fieldale Farms, where he last worked at the Franklin Farm. Frank was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed working on small engines and woodworking and was an avid outdoorsman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother George McCallister.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years Inez Littleton McCallister of the Batesville Community, son Jerry McCallister (Karen) of Alto, daughters Vivian McCallister of Cleveland and Becky Stamey (Rick) of the Batesville Community, siblings Clyde McCallister (Glenda), Charles McCallister (Edna), Hazel Littleton and Mildred Craven all of Cleveland, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 23, from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
