Former White County teacher indicted on molestation charges

A former special education teacher at White County Middle School has been indicted on five counts of sexual abuse of a student.

The White County Grand Jury this week indicted Leonard Amos Jones on two counts of aggravated child molestation, two counts of sexual assault of a student and one count of reckless conduct.

Jones was arrested September 4, 2017, after officials were notified of the accusations against him. Authorities say the alleged abuse occurred on campus.
