A former allied health instructor at North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville is the newest member of the Georgia Board of Nursing.
Governor Brian Kemp swore-in Holly Lynn Free to the board. It’s an appointed position. The swearing-in ceremony was held in the governor’s office at the State Capitol on October 24, 2019.
Free is a Georgia native. She graduated from Brenau University with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Nursing.
In 2000, Free joined the Technical College System of Georgia as an allied health instructor at North Georgia Technical College. She spent thirteen years as an instructor, educating future healthcare providers.
In 2013, she became an Allied Health Curriculum program specialist.
Free has served on the Georgia Board of Nursing Educational Committee and has led numerous initiatives to drive the education system.
In 2017, she transitioned from a program specialist to an apprenticeship specialist. She is now an apprenticeship manager.
