Years after realizing his dream of playing in the majors, former MLB pitcher Roger Erickson is realizing another dream. He’s opening a baseball school in Habersham County.

Erickson, who spent six years in the big leagues — four with the Twins, two with the Yankees –has been searching for a home for the Erickson School of Baseball since last year. He finally found it. Sports reporter Brian Carter has details.
The Erickson School of Baseball is located at 4000 Highway 17, Clarkesville, GA 30523 (next to The Feed Store and across from Sautee Trail Cafe on the Helen Highway). The Grand Opening is Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. There will be speakers, free clinics, food and batting cages. (click flyer to enlarge)
