The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly Athlete of the Week honor roll with senior women’s basketball player BRIANNA BARRETT from Piedmont College making the listing as the Player of the Week.
Barrett’s nod comes in a week where Piedmont went 2-0 on the hard court as she averaged right at 17 points with better than five rebounds as well. The senior point guard from nearby Cornelia also posted five assists per game and put up 20 points in a Friday night win over Johnson & Wales before helping her team to a win over Ferrum on Sunday afternoon.
The USA South Athletic Conference announces its weekly honor roll each Monday and at least half of the teams in a sport must have competed within the previous week for honors to be awarded.
