Sheriff's Office asked GBI to investigate April 29 incident

The GBI has arrested a former Jackson County jailer on charges of aggravated assault and battery. Ronnie Banks, 52, of Bowersville, was booked into the Jackson County Jail after his arrest.

Agents charged Banks in connection to an April 29 domestic assault incident in Pendergrass, according to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate the assault.
